30 Year Anniversary of Ramsbottom Kitchen Company

This year we celebrate an incredible 30 years in business.

Formed in 1996 we have grown from a local start-up into one of the oldest independent family businesses in Ramsbottom. What began with a simple mission — to create beautiful kitchens built to last — has evolved into a thriving, multi-generational success story for our family and staff.

From Humble Beginnings to a 15,000 sq ft Showroom

We first opened our doors on 1 March 1996 on Back Square Street. As the business flourished, it relocated in early 2003 to its current 15,000 square foot showroom on Union Street — a move that marked a new chapter of growth and ambition. Over the past three decades, we have completed thousands of bespoke kitchen projects across Bury, Bolton, Manchester, Lancashire and the wider North West. Through every installation, the focus has remained the same: craftsmanship, attention to detail and exceptional customer service.

A True Family Business

Our business has always been built on family values. Across its 30-year history, three generations of our family have worked within the business. That continuity has helped shape not only the company’s culture, but also its reputation for warmth, trust and personal service.

When we first opened in 1996 our plan was simple, to create beautiful kitchens built to last and by doing that we’ve also created a business built to last.

Weathering Every Storm

Reaching a 30-year milestone is no small feat — especially in a competitive retail and home improvement market. We’ve faced tough challenges along the way, from financial crashes to pandemics and even a fire at the shop. Yet resilience, hard work and a commitment to delivering “great kitchens and great customer service” have helped us to emerge stronger each time.

Industry Recognition

Over the years, we have won some of the kitchen industry’s most prestigious accolades, including the Neff MasterPartner and Best Showroom awards — both achieved twice. These honours reflect not just design excellence that we strive for, but also a consistent standard of quality and professionalism.

A Local Success Story — With More to Come

Tracey (co-founder):

“I’d like to thank our customers who have put faith in us during that time, all our staff from over the last three decades, the local community in Ramsbottom and our family and friends for their support.”

David (co-founder):

“If you’d told me when we first opened that we would still be here 30 years later, I’m not sure I would have believed you, but I am incredibly proud that we are.

I don’t think I need to tell anyone how hard it is to make a business a success and we’ve seen it all during that time, but thanks to hard work and our commitment to providing great kitchens and great customer service, we’ve created a real local family success story. Here’s to the next 30 years of Ramsbottom Kitchen Company.”
