As time progresses and you get used to the way your home looks, you may be looking to make some home improvements; the kitchen is often a popular place as there are so many different things you can change and upgrade. Often referred to as the hub of the home, the kitchen is a busy place that does so much more than cater for food preparation. Whether it’s a room for sitting and catching up with your family after a long day at work, or you use it purely for cooking, the kitchen is an important room in the house.
If you are considering updating your kitchen and having a new one fitted, there’s a high chance that you have a lot of questions about the practicalities of it. One of the most important questions you might have is how long will it take?
No one likes to have their home disrupted for too long, but here at Ramsbottom Kitchens our process of removing your old kitchen and installing your new kitchen is around 3 weeks! Here is the process to expect when you get a new kitchen with us.
Once you have taken a look around our stunning showroom for inspiration and decided on the type of design you would like, a designer will visit your home to take measurements and discuss any further ideas! This is particularly great if you’re not sure exactly what you want as our designers can work with you to create a unique and functional kitchen.
You will then be able to come to the showroom to go through the final plans! Once the likes of the design and the door styles have been agreed on and you are happy, a deposit will be required.
Once the deposit is made, your new kitchen and other items will be ordered; our Sheraton kitchens are made to order so you know you are getting a brand new, good quality kitchen. Achieving your dream kitchen has never felt so easy with us, especially as our team are with you to help every step of the way.
Around 4 to 6 weeks after your deposit, when your kitchen and other parts are ready to be installed, we will take out your old kitchen and allow electricians to carry out agreed work. The plasterer will then carry out required work, whether it is a full skim of the kitchen or just tidying up where the electricians have been.
It will require the rest of the first week to allow the plaster to dry before the next stage of your brand new kitchen can take place!
Kitchen furniture will be delivered directly to your home, where the installation can begin properly. Depending on the style of worktop you are having can sometimes affect when they will be fitted; laminate tops will mean your kitchen is ready at the end of week 2. However, if you have chosen from our Silestone worktops, a template will be taken during this week to be made at our cutting facility.
Early in this week, your Silestone worktops will be installed and the kitchen fitter will return the next day to plumb the sink and hob. The final piece in the jigsaw of your new kitchen will also occur this week; the tiling! This is all coordinated through our brilliant customer service team who can help in making sure it is a smooth and stress-free experience for you.
